The PL10053 13Amp Multi function Power Meter is a small device which is used to measure the voltage, current and power consumption of your appliances.
Simply plug the multi-function Energy Meter into your standard 13Amp socket then your appliance plugs neatly into the Energy Meter and it clearly shows the results on the LCD display.
Many home appliances constantly draw a lot of power, even when left in standby mode such as your Television or DVD Player. Even small appliances such as mobile phone chargers constantly draw current, irrespective of whether they are plugged into your phone or not!
Using this multi function energy meter, you can test your appliances and see how much they use when you think they are sitting dormant to see which appliances you should switch off at the plug when you are not using them, to save you hundreds of pounds on your electricity bills and help to save the environment.
Your appliance will continue to function as normal while the readings are displayed on the Energy Monitors LCD screen. Unlike cheaper models, this energy meter allows you to input the cost of electricity per kWh that YOU pay (this can be found on a recent electricity statement). With this information programmed in, the meter can work out how much your appliance costs you to run per hour / day / week or even year! Thanks to the battery backup (batteries ARE included), when you unplug the meter and put it in your cupboard the information will stay stored ready for the next use.
